Brocante Shopping and Photography Group Tour to Normandie, France April 2015

I hope you all have been enjoying a wonderful summer!!  I had good intentions of blogging over the summer, but life just seemed to get in the way.  My kids and I had a very busy summer, but it felt good to step back for awhile and just focus on them and our family time.  With school starting this week, I will be back to working on photographing new items for the shop, traveling, and hopefully posting on occasion :)

Today I am VERY excited to announce my first ever group tour to France for next spring!  I have been asked many times when I might be hosting a group tour to France, and it is finally happening!

I am teaming up with my friends, Cat and Alain, from Sunday Brocantes, to put together an amazing one week tour in Normandie, France, for spring 2015.  Cat and Alain are amazing hosts and truly know all the best places to go in Normandie!  I am so happy and elated to be working with them on this group tour {it wouldn't be happening without them}!!!

Normandie is one of my favorite areas of full of beauty and charm...

Here is a quick summary of what the tour will involve:

Tour dates are Friday, April 24 to Friday, May 1 2015

If you would like to join me in France, your trip will begin in the charming Normandie villages, and stunning seaside resort towns, and concludes with exploring the world renowned Paris Flea Market, fully escorted and assisted.

While in Normandie, take walks in small local villages, discover French country farms, cider mills and chateau's, spend a morning experiencing the beauty of Monet's Home and Gardens, and absorb the culture of Northwest France.  The highlight of the trip will be a day-long excursion to one of the largest street fair flea markets in France in the beautiful city of Amiens - attended by 80,000 visitors with over 2500 sellers.  While shopping at small brocantes, exquisite antique shops and the Amiens flea market, purchases are collected and prepared for delivery back home after the trip concludes.  When not shopping, guests partake in local culture at farmers' markets, stylish bistros and fabulous restaurants for wine and tasting menus.  This tour also includes a focus on photographing some of "Les Plus Beaux Villages de France," the most beautiful villages of France!  Learn tips and tricks on taking better landscape photos, or just come along to soak in all the charm of the French countryside.

Here are just a few photos I took last year at a roadside brocante, while in Normandie...

Happy June and some lilacs!

Happy June!

Just popping in to wish you a lovely new week!  And, to share just a couple of lilac photos :)

The bush in our yard, that I picked these from always blooms later than the other lilacs, and it is such a treat to be able to get a second round of blooms!

I have been very busy trying to get caught up on my gardening, but I will be taking some more product shots this week, and will have more new {vintage} French items in the shop next week!  Including some of the gorgeous hemp sheets seen in the first photo, and the mini antique French books above.

Wishing you all a wonderful day!

Beautiful Cassis, France

Today I bring you a few images from beautiful Cassis, France.  While in Provence, we decided to take a day trip down to this lovely coastal town.  One of my favorite things to do while on vacation, is have a leisurely lunch by the water...and if you throw in some delicious white wine, well, I'm pretty darn happy :)  Cassis is home to a number of vineyards and they are known for their wonderful white wine.

Lots of great restaurants around the port...

This next photo shows you some of the charm you experience while wandering the streets of Cassis...

no front yard, no problem, you can still have a garden...

Only an hour and a half drive from where we stayed in Apt, to Cassis.  Well worth it!

Be back soon ~

The Streets of Provence

Two posts in one day, are you shocked??!!

I've decided that the best way for me to share my travel photos, and to be able to blog more often, is to start sharing photos one or two at a time.  My new plan is going to {try} to be, that when I post  a photo from my "big camera" on my Instagram page, I will also post it here {I show photos from both my iPhone and  Canon 5D on Instagram}.

We'll see how it goes :)  I do miss feeling more connected with my blog!

The above photo is just one of the many examples of the charming streets in Provence.

Bonsoir mes amis!  Good evening my friends...
